3 Reasons Law Firm Reviews Are More Important Than Ever!

Brightlocal recently released their 2021 “Local Consumer Reviews Survey”.  This provides us with a great insight into how consumers use reviews to make decisions and choose their attorney.

 1. More consumers use Google to evaluate local businesses than ever before. In 2021, 81% did, but the year before that, just 63% did.  Expect this trend to continue upwards until it hits 95%+.  More and more users will rely on reviews, each review you get now will only grow in value over time.

3. 89% of consumers are ‘highly’ or ‘fairly’ likely to use a business that responds to all of its online reviews.  Responding to reviews not only shows customers you’re reading and paying attention to what they are saying, it makes them more likely to choose you and more likely they’ll leave a review later.  As a bonus it also shows google you’re engaged with your profile, which can improve visibility.

3.  62% believe they’ve seen a fake review for a local business in the past year.  Most people can see through overly negative reviews.  Short 1 star reviews, or reviews written in all caps will have less of an impact than you think as people skimming through reviews can easily spot these types of reviews and discount them.
